What is The Chain?
The Chain is budgii’s 21-day streak system. Every consecutive day a child completes their scheduled responsibilities extends their Chain by one day. Hitting ten consecutive days triggers the first bonus. Hitting twenty-one days, the length it takes a habit to form in behavioural research, triggers a larger reward.
The Chain is designed to convert effort into identity. Children stop doing tasks to please a parent and start doing them to protect their own record. Missing a single day resets the Chain, which teaches consistency without punishing a slip for longer than necessary.
